米y mother went to inpatient treatment and it helped her and us exponentially and she got a real shot of life again. ... ABHS on mission, they don\'t do anything but follow a standardized protocol when they see fit to do so, and dont when they dont see from their tired eyes of being staff there and assuming every addict is the same. This place on mission in Spokane Valley is not an environment that helps the journey to recovery nor do they have any intent on making the family members that begged, pleaded and hoped for the day that their loved one that finally went to go get help any part of that journey. He could have spent 21 days in jail...it would have done the same damn thing. ...They assume because I drop off during the listed times, things like letters or deodorant, that I am trying to smuggle drugs into my loved one. Not even caring what a struggle just to get my loved one to go into treatment in the first place was. He\'s called me at least 20 times wanting to abort because of the crap that goes on in there. Mainly from the staff or the way they are treated like they are less of a person because they are seeking treatment for a disease they really don\'t have any control over. I swear, I will make it my mission in life to either have those people re-trained to not assume and judge and treat patients and their families in there like they are less than human and if that can not or will not happen I will make it a priority to have the funds cut and that place shut down.... So please treat people with compassion, help them and their families to heal, grow, and learn to best help the patients on their recovery journey, don\'t judge and assume every addict is the same...trying to get drugs and lie (maybe, they are not even trying to get out because they are in the fight to gain their sobriety! maybe their children and family are important to them and maybe your facility and your staff needs to update the human part of them because they have been there too long and make personal judgments against addicts?). I am so frustrated right now. I will see .. the coordinator of the ABHS on Monday. I hope that he still has human side and can make change happen...That is my heart and my future too in there locked down in that facility and from the time I was a child to the 8 years I spent in active duty Army, to this journey so far everyone has always told me \"you got a lot of heart.\" If the coordinator.. doesn\'t do anything on Monday, I guess I will draw from the commitment, perseverance and dedication in it and be the voice that advocates for addicts fighting for their lives and their recovery.
