为了戒掉海洛因，我来过两次。我已经七年多没有碰过毒品了，部分原因是我自己的决心，但也因为centerpointe给了我清醒生活的工具。这是STL最好的康复中心之一。也就是说，戒毒的成功率不是基于戒毒所，而是随机的。当你第一次到达时，你要和住院的病人分开，同时你要排毒24-72小时。医生给你开了药来缓解戒断症状但这不是魔法。你会晕车的。在这之后，你加入住院患者，通常住14-28天，这取决于医生的建议和经济状况。在我住院的那段时间里，我们每天早上六点半就得起床，给我们开药，参加会议，接受个别治疗，团体治疗，让正在康复的瘾君子来跟我们说话，看精神病医生。你可以抽烟，食物也不错。 It’s not a luxury spa , but you should realize that bc it’s a rehab. It’s not dirty either. It’s sanitary and basic. The staff there truly cares. They invest their life in trying to give you the tools to succeed. They’re honest with you, never sugarcoating it, and will do what’s best for you long term. They’re not abusive but some will think they’re tough (as they ought to be). That being said any rehab is a good option for someone looking to get clean.

The psychiatrist only worked before his private practice, from 5 to 7 am, then would ask my child to rate how she felt on a scale of 1-10 at 5 or 6 am in the morning. The psychiatrist was not ever available, and just relayed messages from staff, some of whom spoke very poor English. This is truly a \"One Flew Over the Cuckoo\'s Nest\" type of mental incarceration. I so regret taking my child there!

Gnats and ants were everywhere. Many of the psych patients would randomly freak out and hit people or start screaming and breaking things. Lots of people talking to themselves. The food is always cold/soggy and so gross you can\'t get it down. This really stunk because I needed to put on some weight. My medical doctor ordered me 3 nutritional supplements and 3 gatorades a day. I never got these. The doctor must have written it on my chart 5 different times yet the nurses would say they didn\'t see it on my chart. When I\'d ask for a bandage change, or my Gatorade, or even just a blanket, I would get the worst attitude and disrespect I have ever experienced. It is reall terrifying being alone in a unit with violent schizophrenics and nurses who truly do not care about anyone. When my parents came to visit, they were absolutely horrified and as soon as they got home, began calling to try and get me discharged. A staff member actually hung up on my mom. Twice. This place only cares about making money off its patients.
